Support Group For Moms Who Are Struggling With Alcohol and/or Drugs

I am in the process of starting a support group for moms in the Los Angeles area who are trying to get clean and/or sober. Please email me confidentially if you (or someone you know) is interested.

Here are the contents of the flier for the group:

THE BRIDGE CLUB

A SUPPORT GROUP FOR MOMS

SEEKING SOBER SOLUTIONS TOGETHER

-facilitated by Jennifer Ginsberg, MSW/MAJCS,

Addiction Specialist

The Bridge Club is a weekly social support group for moms who struggle with alcohol and/or addiction. Groups are held in a safe and confidential environment and led by Jennifer Ginsberg, MSW, who has over 15 years of experience in the field of addiction and recovery. After receiving her MSW from the USC School Of Social Work and MAJCS from Hebrew Union College, Jennifer served as the clinical director of a 120 bed drug and alcohol treatment facility. She also co-developed an addiction prevention program for Jewish youth, which has been implemented in synagogues nationally.

Moms who struggle with addiction often feel guilty and alone. There is help and support for you! Hear from other women who share your struggles, and learn new skills and coping to help you navigate through the tough times.

-Sliding scale available to those who qualify.

I am a struggling alcoholic with about 3 months sobriety. I had five years then fought desperately for 3 years with relapse. I am glad to have found a sight that deals with single moms dealing with sobriety. Please comment if you feel akin.

Hi, do you deal with food addiction? It is an addiction just like booze or drugs. If you do please respond, or if you know someone/where who does I’d appreciate a referal.
